What is Open PageRank?
Open PageRank measures the strength of a website's link profile compared to every other site in its index, on a 0 to 10 scale. It is logarithmic, so climbing from 6 to 7 takes far more than going from 1 to 2. It is not a Google ranking factor, but it is a useful shorthand for how much link authority a site has built.
What counts as a good score?
- 0 to 2 — new or low authority, common for fresh sites
- 2 to 4 — building, with real links starting to land
- 4 to 6 — established and competitive in most niches
- 6 to 8 — strong authority
- 8 to 10 — elite, the major players
How do you raise your score?
The score goes up when relevant, higher-authority sites link to you. The durable way to earn those links is to be genuinely useful and discoverable: ship real things, get listed in the right places, and let the links compound over time. Listing your product in a quality directory is one of the simplest first links to earn.
